Description:

We’ll begin with a relaxing scenic drive through the lush Costa Rican countryside, passing by dairy farms, flower nurseries, and strawberry fields. As we make our way to Poás Volcano, we’ll stop at a local coffee plantation to experience an informative coffee tour. Discover the intricate processes involved in coffee cultivation, harvesting, and roasting, making this tour a truly unique experience. Afterwards, we’ll ascend to the summit of Poás Volcano, where you’ll have the breathtaking opportunity to peer down into the active crater, which is about 1,000 feet deep and continuously emits sulfur fumes and steam. We’ll take a brief hike to Botos Lagoon, a stunning crater lake filled with vibrant blue waters that beautifully contrast with the surrounding lush cloud forest. Our adventure continues with a visit to La Paz Waterfall near Poás Volcano. Here, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the waterfall and the beautiful cloud forest that surrounds it. We’ll take a stop on our way back to San José or Alajuela, allowing you ample time to capture stunning photos of this natural wonder.
