Embark on a two-day adventure that blends Costa Rica’s rich biodiversity with cultural exploration, ideal for nature enthusiasts and those interested in local traditions. This tour starts with an 8 AM pickup from your San José or Alajuela hotel, followed by a scenic drive to Tortuguero.
Day 1: Arrival and Cultural Immersion
The journey begins with a comfortable ride to Tortuguero, where you’ll experience the charm of the Caribbean coast. After arriving, you will visit the Tortuguero Village, where you can immerse yourself in local life, followed by a trip to the Sea Turtle Conservancy to learn about the vital conservation efforts aimed at protecting sea turtles.
In the evening, enjoy a night walk through the village’s surroundings, where your guide will point out nocturnal wildlife and explain the local ecosystems. Overnight accommodation is not included.
Day 2: Nature Exploration and Scenic Hike
On the second day, start your morning with a canoe tour along Tortuguero Canals, giving you the chance to spot diverse wildlife, including howler monkeys, sloths, caimans, crocodiles, and tropical birds in their natural habitat. Afterward, embark on a scenic day hike on the Jaguar Trail and explore the diverse flora and fauna that grace this magical landscape, while gaining insightful knowledge about the natural history of Tortuguero. - During the holiday peak season (December 20th – January 4th), we require a written cancellation request via email to [email protected] at least 72 hours before your service. A full refund will be provided.
- Please note that no-shows for any purchased services will be treated as cancellations and are non-refundable. Additionally, once your travel has commenced, refunds will not be provided for any unused portions of the tour.
